    Mr. Sanders L. "Sandy" Pate

    March 5, 1952 - March 29, 2022

It is with deep sorrow that Mrs. Gloria June Pate announces the death of her beloved husband, Mr. Sanders Lee "Sandy" Pate, 70, of Bishopville, SC. Mr. Pate entered into rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his home. The Directors of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home are caring for the family. A graveside funeral service to honor his life will be held at 2 o'clock on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Piedmont Cemetery. The Rev. Keith Allison will officiate and the family will receive friends immediately following the service. Born in Bishopville, SC, he was the son of the late Gordon Sanders Pate and Annie Boykin Pate. He was retired from Sparrow & Kennedy Tractor Company after forty-two years of faithful service. He loved his family unconditionally. His children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He also enjoyed going on camping trips with his wife, June. Most importantly, Sandy was a believer, and the family is grateful to know that he is with our Lord. He will be missed by so many. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria June Pate of Bishopville, SC; daughters, Crystal (Jeff) Horton of Bishopville, SC, Brandi Pate Phillips of Bishopville, SC, Jill (Waylon) Snipes of Camden, SC; stepsons, Lee (Nicole) Garrett of Orange Park, FL, Adam (Kayla) Garrett of Chapin, SC; sisters, Linda (Charles) Self of Bishopville, SC, Ara Boyer of Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Payton Horton, Skyler Snipes, Jaxson Phillips; step-grandchildren, Isabella Garrett, Maddie Grace Garrett, Emma Kate Garrett, Luke Garrett, Lilly Garrett, Hartlee Garrett, and Livia Garrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Melba Segars, and Charlene Grantham.
