Mr. Wayne Thomas Caughman

It is with deep sorrow that Mrs. Johnette McCutchen Caughman announces the death of her beloved husband, Wayne Thomas Caughman, 68. Mr. Caughman passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 1 o'clock on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in The Chapel of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Hodge, The Rev. Jerry Shaw, and The Rev. Eddie Thomas will officiate with burial to follow in Ashwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home. Born in Sumter, SC, he was the son of the late Thomas Marion Caughman and Lula Cox Caughman. He attended St. Andrew Church of God and was a 1971 graduate of Ashwood Central School. He was the owner and operator of Caughman & Son Farm and RWC Farms. He is survived by his loving wife, Johnette McCutchen Caughman of Spring Hill, SC; sons, John T. Caughman of Spring Hill, SC, Reggie W. (Kayla) Ashwood, SC, SC; sister, Peggy Caughman Pritchard of Gilbert, SC; granddaughter, Laney Marian Caughman of Ashwood, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bobbie Mitchell of Lake Murray, SC. Serving as pallbearers will be Will Wise, Lewis Thompson, Johnny Myers, Sammy Burrows, Nick Godley, Will Culick, Buddy Rivers, Chad Beasley.
